About Community Association meetings
SKGCA meetings are open to the public, and we are always looking to recruit volunteers, particularly as members at large to provide occasional support for planning or at events. Can you lend a couple hours to your Community Association in 2013? Drop in at the Greenboro Pavilion to chat with us and get involved.
We welcome you to join us to discuss the issues and developments that matter to all of us living in the South Keys and Greenboro neighbourhoods of Ottawa. Hope to see you there!
Join us on Saturday, December 1 for our first ever Community Association Open House at the Greenboro Pavilion!
If you’ve ever wondered what your Community Association does in our neighbourhood, or wanted a volunteer opportunity somewhere close to home, our informal Open House is meant for you! Members of our board of directors will be on hand to meet you, discuss your questions and concerns, and identify opportunities for you to make a difference in South Keys Greenboro.
Our Open House features a FREE drop-in Yoga session led by Wendy Webster! Wendy will lead six 30 minute demonstrations on Children’s Yoga, Parent and Baby Yoga, Preschool Yoga, Beginner Yoga, Senior Yoga and Hatha Flow Yoga. We have the equipment ready for your use – simply show up in comfortable clothes to join whatever demonstration class you prefer.
In addition to our free Yoga demonstration, we’ll be talking about all of our ongoing Association programming and events, including:
- our springtime soccer league for kids aged 4 thru 10
- the Kids Co-op at Greenboro Pavilion
- outdoor skating at Pike and Pushman Parks
- the Winter Carnival, Canada Day Bike Parade and Fall Festival events at Pushman Park
We’ll be serving up baked goods, coffee and hot chocolate, and hosting special guests from other groups in our community as well.
All are welcome to attend, so please plan to drop by between 11am and 2pm this Saturday, December 1 at the Greenboro Pavilion, 14 Tapiola Crescent. Please RSVP to our Facebook event and share it with your neighbours and friends so that they can join in the fun. We can’t wait to see you there!
